I am trying to develop KPI s for implementing a new procedure for the loading of transport industry.
new procedure is for an Automated Mezzanine Deck/Floor whilst the old mezzanine decks were moved manually by two forklifts and muscle power.
obvious kpi is time taken to load trailer.

Hello Daniel,
 
You might also need a set of two indicators: lagging one that will show the number of hours when the device was broken + leading one that will show the prophylactic actions from your side to prevent possible problems.
 
I’d say these will be process-oriented indicators, what you might also need are some indicators for a bigger picture of your business, e.g. how all procedures are incorporated in your business system and how they create a value for your customers.
