You mentioned you want to measure advance of progress. Here you could use:

KPI: Measuring of % of Goals Achieved vs. Goals Set

KPI: Measuring of Deviation of planned budget

KPI: Measuring of Deviation of planned time schedule

You may find useful the KPI below, it is from the construction category but it can easily be applied to you as it’s also used for tracking project progress:

KPI: Measuring of Manufacturing Schedule Adherence %

I hope you find KPIs above useful. Just apply them to your project structure.
In a nutshell, in order to measure project progress, you may answer questions such as:
1. Is the project meeting the initial goals?
2. Has there been any deviation from the initial goals?
3. Are there any internatl/external factors affecting the progress of the project?
4. Is the project on time? If not, why?
5. Is the workforce performing at desired standards? If not, why?
