WinningKPI - Project Management - KPI for Measuring of Deviation of planned time schedule posted in category Project Management This is an important Project Management KPI, as time is an essential part of a well delivered project. Time can be the key to whether deadlines are met, the project cost is met or exceeded etc. Project managers generally set a planned schedule that gives room for contingencies to be applied, e.g. extra days or months to the project. This KPI can also be used to identify and improve processes in the project that impact on the time schedule (e.g. conference calling can make meeting with business partners from abroad easier and faster). Time represents a high cost for the company, hence keeping on schedule (or below) whilst maintaining quality standards is a goal of every company. A high deviation of planned schedule may imply higher costs and lower ROI for the company.
