May I please ask, is this for a company or is it for research purposes?
If you are aiming to measure this for a particular company, the annual employee motivation surveys generally offer statistics which will hinder your measurement.
However, if you want to measure this, let’s say for research purposes, you may be able to find some information on the net. I stand by the feeling that you can measure employee motivation in the Information Technology Sector with the same KPIs that you would use in any sector.
However, if you want to look at trends, differences, etc., you may choose to compare employee motivation in the Information Technology Sector to other sectors. You could measure % difference on levels of engagement, motivation, job satisfaction and even performance.
Let’s not forget that high performance is thought to be directly proportional to employee motivation. Is that always the case? Not so sure about it, but measuring it surely brings value.
