WinningKPI - Marketing - KPI for Measuring of holiday promo offers posted in category Marketing

KPI details:

This indicator is for measuring of promo offers and actions during holiday period. The most obvious is measuring the number of sales generated with holiday coupon, but that's sounds too simple as it is necessary to understand if these people would buy the product anyway (and you loose money as you suggested offer) or if they have bought it spontaneously because of the holiday offer and you've got extra cash.

KPI Expert First I am hoping that I understand the question enough to provide you a valuable and usable comment...If I understand this correctly, I would suggest the following:

1. You should have already gathered the following metric - average sales per month, average sales (% increase from holiday)(non-coupon) - meaning the number of sales or percent increase before the coupon was increased and finally the percent increase in sales since the coupon was introduced. You can then use the difference of the two and assume that as the KPI of how well the promotion did.

2. Not sure if I understand your comment about "you loose money as you suggested offer" - Please clarify. IF you are losing money, then you might want to re-think your promotion. Promotions should provide a net gain in profit.

3. With regard to "necessary to understand if these people would buy the product anyway". I am sure there are plenty of solid research from marketing firms that could answer that based on available demographics.
