KPI Expert This is a very good tool for call centre companies, especially the ones specialized in cold calling.

Assuming that the call centre has 30 workers, 20 sales staff, 5 administrative staff and 5 management staff; if the company wants to measure the weekly time spent selling as a % of all other activities, the formula could be calculating as following:

All time for activities: 30 (FTE) x 37.5 hours (a week) = 1125 (total working hours by all personnel)

Now assuming the sales staff spend at least 5 hours a day selling – 25 h a week,

20 x 25 = 500

So the average measure of how long the company spends selling is:

500/1125 x 100 = 44.5 % of time spent selling
