KPI Expert I’ll take here an example to illustrate how to calculate this KPI. However, please note that the values are hypothetical and may differ from real life value.

Company A calculated decrease in Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emission over one year period.

2010: 60 Mte CO2 equivalent

2011: 55 Mte CO2 equivalent

% Decrease in GHG Emissions:

(60-55)/60 x 100 = 8.3 %

Therefore, the GHG emissions have decreased by 8.3 % - a very significant decrease
